Technical Description:  Microsoft Windows could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system caused by improper handling of malformed cursors, animated cursors or icons. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted animated cursor (ANI) file, a remote attacker could corrupt memory and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the malicious file on a Web site or sending it to a victim as an email attachment.
Remediation instructions: Refer to Microsoft Security Advisory (935423) for workaround information. See References.
