Technical Description:

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the Windows multimedia library (winmm.dll) in the code responsible for handling of MIDI files.  An attacker enticing a user to play a specially crafted MIDI file could run code in the context of the current user.  The vulnerability is in the library itself so applications using the Windows Multimedia API for the processing of MIDI data may be vulnerable.
